Application period: January 7 to?27, 2019 for Summer 2019 Internship

Are you a full-time undergraduate or graduate student that wants practical experience abroad?

Students without Borders is a 3-4 month internship opportunity that allows you to put knowledge into practice, working side-by-side with local organizations around the world.

Price includes return airfare from Winnipeg, visa, accommodation, orientation, in-country support, daily allowance for meals and transportation, travel health insurance, program fee and support services, Intercultural Training and a Pre-Departure Training Course.? Participants may qualify for financial assistance.

Criteria :

  • Must be a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Be a full time student at the time of application

Local Volunteer Opportunity with Uniterra – World University Services of Canada (WUSC) Local Committee

World University Services of Canada (WUSC) has a local committee at the U of M that welcomes student refugees from around the world. The U of M WUSC Local Committee is a student group that meets monthly. The local committee governs itself with student leadership roles including chairperson, events coordinator, financial coordinator, activities coordinator, events committee members, and general mentors.

To date, 36 student refugees have been supported by the WUSC local committee, by community members and U of M staff who contribute to their transition to life in Canada.
